03 — Driveway Resurfacing

Driveways that look new — and stay that way.

Vuba resin-bound stone installs over your existing concrete or asphalt drive. Water drains through the surface, salt and meltwater don't pool, and the natural aggregate doesn't crack or pop out under freeze-thaw. Finished in two days, backed by a five-year warranty.

Why resin-bound beats a tear-out

Tearing out and re-pouring a concrete drive is expensive, slow, and the result is the same surface that cracked in the first place. Asphalt fares worse — sealed each year, cracking each spring, holding the same dark heat all summer.

Resin-bound stone installs over the existing drive in 2–3 days, with no demolition. The natural aggregate is sealed in a UV-stable resin matrix that flexes with freeze-thaw cycles rather than fracturing — so the surface that looks like year one still looks like year one at year ten.

Driveways we've resurfaced

Before / After

From cracked asphalt to a clean charcoal drive.

Same property, same week. The existing asphalt stays — the resin-bound surface is installed directly over the top, no demolition.

Before
After

Permeable

Meltwater and rain drain through the surface to the substrate. No pooling, no salt rings, no run-off into the street.

Freeze-thaw rated

The resin matrix flexes with seasonal cycles. No surface cracks, no aggregate pop-out, no salt damage at the edges.

Colour stable

UV-stable resin and natural aggregate don't yellow, chalk, or fade. Year ten looks like year one.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Can resin-bound stone be installed over my existing asphalt or concrete driveway?

Yes — that's the whole point. As long as the existing surface is structurally sound (no major heaving), we prep, prime, and bond the resin-bound layer directly on top. No demolition, no hauling away.

How does it hold up to Canadian winters?

The surface is permeable so meltwater drains through instead of pooling and freezing. The polyurethane resin matrix flexes with freeze-thaw cycles instead of fracturing, and the aggregate doesn't pop out. Many of our earliest GTA driveways are still on their original install.

Is it safe to use snow plows and de-icing salt on it?

Salt is fine and won't etch the surface. For plows we recommend plastic or rubber-edged blades — metal plow edges can scratch any surface, resin included. Hand shovelling and snow blowers are no problem.

How long does the install take?

Most residential driveways are finished in 2–3 days, depending on size and prep work. You can walk on the surface in 24 hours and drive on it the day after that.

What's the warranty?

5 years on materials and workmanship — written warranty against cracking, fading, and install defects.
